Merseyside Property Clearance is focused on diverting as much waste as possible away from landfill. 

We are a motivated organisation and aim to achieve true recycling rates as high as 85%. As well as donating items to many various charities, we also donate furniture to schools and youth club workshops.

The word “Recycle” can be used in a lot of ways, a chest of drawers pulped in to MDF to be sold in a DIY shop is recycling, a chest of drawers hand painted to be sold in a furniture shop is also recycling. This is true recycling.

We have a 2000 sq ft sorting depot as well as storage containers, after a house clearance all the mixed recycling is sorted and separated into different types of materials by hand, each product is assessed for “fit for purpose”.

By the careful handling of items from a clearance we have found a large amount of goods can be donated to various charity organisations, restored, painted and resold, thus reducing landfill and saving ourselves money on local authority tip possessing charges. In our industry, so often an item that could be recycled is just thrown away by many house clearance companies.

On all occasions we will ensure waste is disposed of in accordance with all current legislation.
